The product contains a huge database of world flora, which, if desired, can be expanded with new plant species by filling in special fields.

For the process of identifying a plant in the PlantSnap program, you need to take just a few simple steps. First, you need to take a photograph of an unknown flower, bush or tree with the built-in camera. Then, using a set of special tools, you should crop out unnecessary details of the photo. And at the finish line, the identification algorithm itself will have to be launched, which occurs automatically. If the plant is present in the application database, then the user will be shown photos taken by other project participants.

For any plant found by the PlantSnap program, there is a detailed description, which includes the full scientific and everyday name, department, class, family, genus, place of growth and other interesting information. In addition, the “naturalist” is offered a choice of several links to specialized resources, by clicking on which you can find out complete information about the desired representative of the world flora (trees, flowers, succulents, mushrooms, shrubs, and so on). The only drawback of the application is its completely English-language interface, since other languages ​​​​are simply not provided.
