VLC for Android is a fairly popular and completely free open-source multimedia player that works well on a variety of platforms. The player settings panel allows you to achieve the desired result in a matter of seconds, and the playback process itself is invariably smooth and amenable to gesture control (brightness, volume, rewind).

The VLC for Android product also fully implements work with subtitles – if necessary, the user will only have to indicate the path to the required file or download it from the global network, using the list of suggested sources. You can rant about the functionality and capabilities of this player forever, but it’s better to install it once and test everything yourself – after that you won’t even look in the direction of other programs.
