Gmail is a free email client from Google Corporation, endowed with useful functionality and interface, which will not be difficult to deal with even for a person who is far from modern technologies. The first release of this mail service took place in 2004 and since then the developer has not stopped trying to make his service even more convenient and accessible to ordinary users, and judging by the leading position of the product among similar sites, the efforts of its creators do not go unnoticed by the target audience.
The smart algorithm used in the Gmail for Android platform not only intelligently sorts incoming emails by automatically sending suspicious “content” to the spam folder, but also takes care that the person knows in advance which one the recipient received a message. Also, this mail service went further than other similar services by introducing new categories such as “Forums”, “Notifications”, “Social Networks” and “Promotions”. That is, now you can simply go to the “Social networks” category and check for new messages from friends, and with the help of “Promotions” it is now impossible to miss profitable promotions and discounts in online stores and other commercial sites. After all, you must admit that it is much better to view all the important information in one place, and not wander through numerous web resources?
This is perhaps the only difference between Gmail and other email clients, since everything else is organized more or less according to the same principle. The program is designed in the style of Material Design, which is not surprising, given its developer. The area for work is divided into three tabs: categories, which, after tapa, reveals the remaining subsections, letters, as well as the letter currently opened by the user, if any. Other sections have not gone anywhere either, they are helpfully hidden for the time being in order to save screen space, because the client is focused on mobile devices, and with free space it’s not easy here – there are much more smartphones than tablets.
The developers have also provided the ability to quickly create a new message with almost one touch – for this, a red button is conveniently located in the lower right corner of the application. To delete letters, either the familiar icon with a trash can or a touch gesture is used – a swipe in any direction will clear the mailbox of unnecessary correspondence. Gmail can be advised to those users who conduct active correspondence or often receive notifications by email, because this client allows you to quickly and conveniently put your mail in order, spending a minimum of time on it without losing quality and efficiency.
