FlashLight – at first glance, a primitive, but in practice an extremely useful tool that turns a mobile device into a pocket flashlight with extended functionality. We do not argue that almost all modern gadgets receive a flashlight “out of the box”, which, as it were, tells the user that there is no need to install additional software. And this is partly true, however, the default built-in tool only allows you to highlight the space according to the parameters set by the developer, for example, it does not allow you to adjust the brightness and other characteristics.

But the culprit of our today’s review will easily give odds to the default software – FlashLight is able to use not only the camera flash to illuminate the surrounding space, but also the screen of the mobile gadget itself. After launching the utility, the user sees a visual instruction demonstrating the capabilities of a miniature flashlight – they say, you can increase the area glowing on the display by simply swiping up or down.

And if you hold your finger on the screen for a long time, it will automatically switch to the flash mode (you must first give the appropriate permission to the application). Do you think that’s all? No, the baby FlashLight allows you to change the color, for which you should go to the appropriate settings section, where you can experiment with the palette and choose any suitable option. If you wish, you can block the possibility of accidentally changing the working surface of an impromptu flashlight – to do this, move the slider with the castle emblem.
