Sphero Edu – Coding for Sphero Robots is an application for teaching Sphero robotic ball new commands. This gadget, slightly larger than a billiard ball, covered in durable polycarbonate “armor”, is able to captivate not only children, but also adult users. This high-tech toy is controlled by any modern mobile device via Bluetooth connection and special software.

Initially, the “bun” is trained in stock commands, for example, it can follow the user at a speed of up to two meters per second, act as the main object in numerous augmented reality games, become great entertainment for pets, and so on. But in order to teach the gadget new movements and tricks, more advanced software is required, and the Sphero Edu – Coding for Sphero Robots tool is ready to act as such. To train the sphere, the Javascript language is used, that is, the user sets an action script for the device and then dutifully executes everything.

To work with the Sphero Edu – Coding for Sphero Robots application, of course, you need the gadget itself, as well as registration in the service, but you can also use a Google account for authorization. After that, following the interactive prompts from the system, we program our spherical “friend” based on our goals and needs. The program supports ten versions of robots – Sphero BOLT, Sphero SPRK+, Sphero SPRK Edition, Sphero 2.0, Sphero Mini, Ollie, BB-8, BB-9E, R2-D2, R2-Q5, in fact, all models at the moment present on the market.
