Hello stalkers! I, your humble servant, an avid gamer, have just finished beta testing of Pocket ZONE, and I hasten to share my impressions. To begin with, I will say that this is not just another mobile phone about survival in the Zone – it is real hardcore, seasoned with a pinch of nostalgia for the good old Fallout and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
The creators of Pocket ZONE clearly took the best from their previous projects and mixed it with the atmosphere of the Chernobyl zone. Result? It’s addictive from the first minutes! The character creation system is impressive: hundreds of appearance options – you can create your own unique stalker. What about the role-playing system? Deep and thoughtful, with a bunch of skills and classes. I chose “Mechanics” – I like to do magic with weapons.
Map – ten unique locations, each with its own atmosphere. From abandoned villages to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant itself – everything is worked out in detail, as much as possible on a mobile device. The graphics, of course, are not photorealistic, but the style is quite nice, and the character animations are excellent.
The gameplay is all about gritty survival. Food, water, sleep – all this needs to be constantly monitored. Random events are a different story! They constantly keep you on your toes. Met some bandits? Decide whether to fight or negotiate. Found an artifact? Prepare for the consequences. Survival here is not just a clicker game, but a real strategy where every decision matters.
Trading with other players is a cool feature! You can exchange finds, helping each other survive. Weapons and equipment – the sea! From rusty Makarov to legendary artifacts. Collecting is a special pleasure.
Of course, the game is in development, and I encountered a couple of bugs. But the developers quickly respond to reviews, which is good news. If you’re a fan of S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Fallout, or just love hardcore survival games, Pocket ZONE is what you need. I recommend! Just get ready – the Zone does not forgive mistakes.
