Criminal Case: Mysteries of the Past is the next part of the exciting detective series from the Pretty Simple studio, which, unlike previous projects, takes the newly minted detective to the 19th century, offering to solve the mysterious and brutal murder of Mrs. Stanbury first. The victim was found near the Statue of Liberty, where you will immediately go to inspect the scene and collect important evidence. The gameplay actively uses the “search for objects” mechanics – look for items from the list at the location and try to do it in the shortest possible time.

All new circumstances of the crime are recorded in the diary, where you can also see a list of the next tasks. In addition to finding objects on static scenes, you will periodically have to solve different types of puzzles, for example, to collect puzzles. The first case is educational in nature and after its successful completion with the arrest of the criminal, the gamer will need to name his hero and customize his appearance. The investigation of each of the many crimes consists of several mandatory stages – inspection of the crime scene, interrogation of witnesses, autopsy and work with evidence, collection of evidence and, finally, the arrest of the attacker.

The Criminal Case: Mysteries of the Past puzzle storyline involves several characters at once – sometimes it will be an assistant who gives valuable advice, sometimes important information comes from the pathologist and other police officers. The course of the story is perfectly complemented by colorful inserts and dialogues – this helps to keep the thread of the plot in mind and remember about the current problems. A little spoils all the energy and stars needed to perform many actions, if they run out, you will have to replay the scenes already completed several times or invest in donations.
