Ninja Raiden Revenge is an atmospheric 2D adventure of a lone warrior trying to get to the eight-headed demon Orochi, who comes to earth every hundred years and sows death and chaos with the help of his minions. The village of the main character named Raiden was devastated, all the inhabitants were brutally killed, and now, driven by anger and hatred, he set off in pursuit of an elusive demon, traveling through multi-tiered levels, collecting valuable resources, fighting enemies and trying to complete the mission within the allotted time.
By genre, the Ninja Raiden Revenge project can be attributed to a “venigret” from a platformer, hack and slash, puzzle and RPG – the user’s reflexes and abilities are guaranteed a hardcore test, and a constantly ticking timer complicates the situation even more. The character is able to run, jump on hills, jump over abysses, climb walls, destroy with the help of katana and shuriken not only enemies, but also various objects, which often hide very valuable items.
It is the resources earned at each level Ninja Raiden Revenge that will help the gamer improve the parameters of his ward, preparing him for the most hardcore trials and the fight with the main boss. Graphically, the novelty from the Tenda Games studio is simply gorgeous – an ever-changing dynamic background, complemented by such gloomy details as hanging people or peasants working on rice plantations. The musical accompaniment also adds gloominess and hopelessness to each game moment, while caressing the user’s ear with overflows of Japanese ethnic melody interspersed with sounds made by fue.
