WIF Soccer Battles – a spectacular and dynamic Android arcade game, which, although it takes place in medieval locations, is completely dedicated to such a popular sport as football. It seems that knights, sorcerers, skeletons and other characters not only participate in intense battles, they are not averse to sorting things out with each other on the football field, however, their methods, I must say, are still a little harsh. All competitions, championships of the local and royal format are evenly dispersed across the global game map, and there is no system here – all that remains is to choose an opponent, defeat him, take the earned gold coins, open new “footballers” and again explore the map for a worthy opponent. From football itself in the classical sense, only the gates and the field remained in the game, divided into two equal halves and special zones according to the regulations. Everything else should be taken no more than a free interpretation on the theme of “the game of millions.”
For gamers it will be a big surprise that the role of a leather ball in WIF Soccer Battles is a real bomb with a fuse set on fire at the end. The most explosive object, the task of which is not to leave stone unturned from the opponent’s fortress. In addition, every medieval athlete has a weapon and is able to cause quite tangible physical damage to enemies: a sharp blade, a bow with arrows, magic balls – if you correctly wield these items, then you won’t have to manipulate the ball too much. The main task in the project is to defeat the opponent’s goal, as well as the incidental laying of TNT under all the enemy’s buildings in his half of the field. But all these points are discussed in detail even in the process of training, it also talks about the features of managing your wards.
The arcade WIF Soccer Battles is decorated in pretty – pleasant colors, a curious complex of textures and design findings used by the authors, a solidly recreated universe with numerous majestic buildings and original characters belonging to different races. The only thing that the developers did not succeed in was the physics – everything is very viscous and slow, the characters move imposingly and lazily across the field, and the ball flies at all, as if in slow motion. Playing in such conditions can be interesting only for a few matches, then the slowness will literally infuriate. It remains to be hoped that the authors will pay attention to this moment and in the updates they will definitely bring everything into a more attractive and realistic look.
