Dan The Man is an atmospheric retro arcade game from Halfbrick Studios, which has produced quite a few popular entertainment products, for example, the jet arcade game Jetpack Joyride. In our case, the developers noted a curious and unconventionally implemented battle system, bright locations filled with decorative elements, and a plot whose twists and turns are difficult to understand until the end credits. The game story sends the user into a fictional world located exactly at the intersection of an alternative Middle Ages and an innovative future: the character, under the strict guidance of the gamer, explores locations, uses the power of unknown technologies and saves his captive comrades from certain death. The difficulty of passing the stages is steadily increasing – either opponents are advancing from all sides in large groups, or the structure of the locations contributes to incredible confusion and absurdity.
The history of the project Dan The Man revolves and gains unimaginable intensity of passions around the cruelty, injustice and totalitarianism of the virtual universe, and the reason for everything is the desire to rule the whole world by a small group of politicians, whose corruption and sick imagination have reached the limit. The fact is that these greedy “business tycoons” are going to use human power as a source of free and constantly replenished energy. Ordinary citizens are kidnapped by their families and held in inhumane conditions in secret factories, where they are forced to run along special ribbon tracks with little rest. While the free labor was shuffling its feet, generating valuable energy, politicians were earning fabulous money – it was time to break the vicious circle of greed and injustice. This is exactly what users have to do as they go through the levels of this exciting Android game.
The control buttons forDan The Manare conveniently located on the device screen – the arrows on the left side are responsible for moving the hero around the location, and the active keys for jumping, throwing and hitting are located on the right side. The set is not large, but all this is complemented by excellent animation, which more than compensates for the modest set of features. The virtual fighter against injustice, like a professional tightrope walker and ninja, smashes all opponents to smithereens, demonstrates spectacular somersaults and screams frantically, making enemies tremble and involuntarily gain respect for the lonely hero. You can play through the game in several modes, each of which is interesting and challenging in its own way – Campaign, Episodic skirmishes and Survival. By the way, the new product supports a gamepad, so if you have one at your disposal, the game will be much more convenient, and destroying enemies will be much more fun.
