The vast majority of gaming products from the Ketchapp studio are casual entertainment, in which there is not even a hint of a plot, and clear goals and simple controls allow the widest gaming audience to while away their free time. Dunk Shot can be quite freely attributed to such casual products – we throw a basketball into the basket, earn points and try to get ahead of other players, tracking our achievements through the Google Play Games service.
The whole ball control system in the new Dunk Shot is reduced to one-touch control – the user needs to pull the orange projectile with his finger and, focusing on the dotted line, send it exactly to the basket. At each level (although in principle there is only one and endless stage), the baskets are located at different points, each next level is generated randomly. Any miss automatically ends the career of a novice basketball player, displaying his personal record.
Above some hoops are golden stars, which, if enough, give the gamer access to customization of both the ball itself and basketball baskets. Projectiles are able to ricochet off the walls in full accordance with physics, here the developers, as always, have tried. As you move through the location, the complexity also increases, which is mainly related to the frequency of the location of sports facilities. There is only one drawback of the arcade Dunk Shot – this is a flickering advertisement every now and then (there is a donut, but it’s quite comfortable to play without it), which, however, can be dealt with in a radical way, simply by turning off data transfer to smartphone.
