MASKED – an action project from the studio sends a gamer to a sinister and unpredictable world, the main elements of which are stubborn skeletons, powerful bosses, placers of gold coins and a little hero trying to improve his well-being at the expense of someone else’s wealth. Will he get it? Is not a fact! But if you install a novelty and help a purposeful adventurer, then this story may well have a happy ending – Happy End.

The journey of the miniature character begins in front of the entrance to the ancient treasury, guarded by vigilant guards from among the representatives of the other world. You have to control a masked hero, who has only a massive sword as a weapon, but he wields it so deftly that every skeleton that meets the blade runs the risk of instantly shattering into many whitening bones. Explore all the corridors and rooms of the dungeon, skillfully avoiding traps, engaging in battle with groups of guards, demonstrating dexterity, fearlessness and loyalty to the idea.

It is generally accepted that noble knights act in the guise of true heroes, behind whom there are an uncountable number of victories and brave deeds. But it turns out that this is not always the case, because our “hero” does not possess either strength or special prowess, but his thirst for profit is great, and it is she who pushes him forward, forcing him to neglect the sense of self-preservation. Remember that the tomb raider is able to die after a couple of hits, and therefore, under no circumstances should you let the enemies get too close – the death of the hero is permanent, and, therefore, you have to go all the way from the very beginning.

In terms of genre, the MASKED project is closest to “bagels”, and the gameplay is not particularly pleasing with its variety. Once in a gloomy dungeon, the user will have to successfully pass as many corridors and rooms as possible, periodically fighting back skeletons and bosses, collecting useful items and gold bars in large quantities. Such a journey can continue indefinitely, since the random system for creating locations will never send the player to the territory already passed – each time the layout changes, the enemies become smarter, and the process of finding gold is more difficult.

In general, the MASKED project looks nice, but too monotonous, gray walls, the same enemies, lack of special dynamics, and besides, the developers obviously went too far with the donation – some locations open only for money. You should also be prepared to watch commercials – fortunately, there are not so many of them, but whatever one may say, this is still a solid distraction that will surely repel many players. By the way, the authors warn that although the new product is already available for download, this is not a full-fledged release, so some errors and optimization problems are quite possible.
