The Vikings

Vikings – a succinctly designed arcade game with one-touch controls that sends the user into the cruel world of the Vikings, who are not afraid of death in battle, because in this case they are guaranteed a place in a paradise for valiant warriors called Valhalla. The schematically depicted protagonist went to distant lands for fame, gold and the title of the true son of his “tribe”. Naturally, the path to glory goes through a series of victories and defeats, as well as competent planning of their actions.

Before starting the career of a Scandinavian warrior in the action movie The Vikings, gamers will have to go through some kind of training, in which the authors of the project tried to carefully outline the key tasks, rules and conditions for their implementation, as well as the features of the control system. Nothing new can be expected from the concept of this Android arcade, but the complexity is very pleasing, since it is hardcore – even a professional gamer will not be able to score a record number of points on the first try, let alone beginners.

At the start of The Vikings there are no particular problems – enemies appear on the battlefield slowly, slowly swinging their hand holding a heavy ax, or reluctantly pulling a yew bow, as if hinting that an impudent guest does not deserve activity in response to his aggression. But such sluggishness instantly disappears after scoring the first ten points – opponents become faster, shoot quickly, although not without a miss. Further – more, the complexity instantly increases to prohibitive values, and our ward more and more often falls dead with a split skull or pierced by an arrow.
