1942 is a World War II-themed shooter. The game is implemented in a retro style, and in 8-bit graphics.
Plot. The game takes place during the Second World War. The player plays the role of a pilot of one of the 5 available military aircraft. The task of the player-pilot is to take off from the deck of an aircraft carrier ship, cross a long distance over land and water, destroy air, ground and surface targets in flight, and all this in order to reach the ultimate goal – Tokyo – to destroy the entire military – Japanese Air Force.
The complexity of the game lies in the fact that before getting the capitals of Japan, the player has to complete 20 game missions – these are twenty levels of the game; each next one is more difficult than the previous one. If successful, the player not only wins the battle, but also as a reward receives amplifiers (extra time, dual machine guns, etc), the purpose of which is to increase the player’s chances with each new level of the game at least to survive, and as a maximum to win.
The aircraft is controlled using gestures on the screen, which indicate the direction of flight, and with the help of virtual buttons that activate guns and other aircraft weapon options.
You can play in three modes: 1) light, 2) medium, 3) mad.
The 1942 game is the first version of four World War II themed games. Each game is guaranteed to give players an unforgettable feeling of participating in historical events, the alternative outcome of which depends solely on the player.
