Shadowmatic is an atmospheric logic game that has become a successful debut of Triada Studio Games, according to the gameplay of which, the gamer needs to rotate three-dimensional objects around its axis in such a way that the result is a shadow of the shape conceived by the developer. It will not be an exaggeration if we call this project the only one of its kind, since it is simply devoid of any visible flaws. Each level is a small room, in the middle of which is suspended an object, illuminated by a bright lamp. The user, focusing on the shadow on the wall, needs to twist the abstract object in any direction in order to end up with a perfectly shaped shadow.

At the bottom of the display are miniature dots in the amount of six pieces, the closer the player approaches the solution of the puzzle, the more dots will light up, in other words, they are a kind of guide, a kind of beacon for the gamer, talking about the imminent achievement of the goal. The user cannot know for sure and even guess what he will eventually have to create at each level, and in this unpredictability, even any hint is worth a lot.

If at the first stages Shadowmatic you have to interact with only one abstract contour, then as you advance through the levels, their number can vary up to several, and the passage will take not a couple of minutes, but up to half an hour – try, guess what conceived by a creative developer. However, the gradual increase in complexity allows you to gradually prepare for the most hardcore tasks, while simultaneously enjoying the aesthetic pleasure of an interesting concept and its ideal implementation. A clear teaching chapter also contributes to the rapid overcoming of the threshold of entry, so even a small child should not have any insoluble problems with the assimilation of mechanics. Moreover, at any stage of creating the perfect shadow, you can use an intuitive hint system.

Impeccable graphic design – that’s what will not allow a gamer to quit solving game problems halfway, because it is truly realistic, it seems that you really are in a darkened room, “conjuring” with an object in limbo. A charming soundtrack completes the idyll, so it’s best to play with headphones to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the charming game mystery. Shadowmatic is a unique logic game, the mechanics of which are based on simple things – shadow and light, giving out a simply amazing sight at the output.
