High Risers

High Risers – a casual Android arcade game stimulating new achievements, the whole gameplay of which comes down to traveling through high-rise buildings using jumps. The novelty is designed in a cute a la Pixel-Art style, provides for variability in the choice of a ward and is able to captivate for a long time, causing some semblance of drug addiction, since once you start it is impossible to stop.

So, the key task is to pass the record distance up, this is precisely what explains the sincere desire of the protagonist to “knock on the sky” – that is where the unattainable destination is located. At the same time, there is no need to jump without stopping, since at any moment you can slow down in order to take a breath and calm your nervously shaking fingers. And we are sure that each user will have more than a dozen such “smoke breaks”, given the incredible dynamics and speed of the gameplay.

The story of High Risers begins with a chaotic movement of a miniature “give” under a skyscraper under construction, which is transferred to the right track after the first tap of the gamer on the screen. Our office worker runs (he is the first in line of the characters) in automatic mode and any solid obstacle, for example, a wall, or a load hanging on a crane boom, can interrupt his run by turning in the opposite direction. If you do not have time to direct the marathon runner in the right direction, and he does not meet with an obstacle, the stage will have to be started again from the basement floor. In principle, there is nothing complicated, after the first minute of the gameplay everything will fall into place – and you will get comfortable with the controls, and put the main goals on the shelves in your head.

From which floor the hero goes into an uncontrolled fall, his fate also depends – he will break a couple of ribs or even break into a cake. If you’re lucky, then a parachute will open behind the man’s back during the fall – this will allow him to survive, but the ascent will still have to start from scratch. The complexity of the environment also depends on the height of the distance traveled, because on the upper floors the skyscraper has not yet taken on its finished shape, hence the gaping holes in the walls, and the ceiling slabs, which are still under installation, therefore not fixed.

As an epilogue, we would like to say that High Risers although it is positioned by the authors as another casual product designed for a wide user audience, in reality it is an addictive “tormentor” that will linger in the memory of your Android device for a long time. As such, there is no donation in the novelty, but there is advertising, it is comfortable for someone to play with it, and dissatisfied gamers can only be advised one thing – turn off the demonstration of videos, appeasing the developers with a purely symbolic amount of money.
