Fixies: Supermarket is an educational game for preschool girls on the theme of their favorite pastime – shopping in the store. The heroine of this story is Fixik named Simka. The game takes place in a supermarket where a sale is announced. Circumstances of the game: Simka’s friend is a Fixie inventor named Papus who needs tools to make a scientific discovery. Simka offered her friend her help. She goes to the supermarket with a shopping list in her hand. But in order for Simka not to buy anything extra, she, in turn, needs the help of children. During the game, children learn to count, and they develop attention, memory and skills to navigate in an unfamiliar space.
The difficulty of the game for children is to find the right items in the store (a mini-game in the “hidden objects” genre), check the shopping list, compare prices, plus and minus the cost of purchases. You need to complete these game tasks in a limited amount of time and steps.
The game is designed for kids from 2 to 5 years old. The game interface is implemented in a minimalistic style that is intuitive for both children and their parents.
Two game roles are available in the game: 1) the buyer and 2) the seller. The game algorithm is designed in such a way as to develop children’s cognitive skills – this is the ability to learn independently – a prerequisite for a successful life strategy.
