Riptide GP: Renegade

Riptide GP: Renegade is a jet ski racing arcade game, and at the same time it is your ticket to a sci-fi future that is available to you right here and now. There are no rules in these races, and renegades participate in the races – the dregs of society.

Locations. Racing takes place in the industrial zone of the city built on the water, among the futuristic-looking skyscrapers and floating factory platforms, through military bases and over the flooded ruins of the old city. Racing tracks are reservoirs, channels, water rapids and artificial waterfalls.

The process of the game, in fact, racing. Background. Each player character is a disqualified rider from the Riptide Grand Prix. Drivers were disqualified for violating the rules. When more than a million of these racers gathered around the world, they decided to continue doing what they know best – to drive jet skis. They created their own league of renegade racers, and organized underground races without rules.

Racers compete on aerodynamic jet skis – they can plan. Dressed riders in Kevlar armor. As Pripyat, there are interactive elements that change the configuration of the race track depending on the result of the random number generator – completely unpredictable – and this is fraught with the death of the racers. Actually, this is all the player needs to know to start the race.

The reward for racing is the gaming experience. The reward for victory is life and money. New jet skis are bought for money, old ones are updated or improved. For money, you can also hire talented racers. The goal is to assemble a team of the best racers to fight against the title players – “ghosts”.

What is remarkable about this racing arcade game?

• Incredibly dynamic graphics. Graphics that interactively respond to the player’s gaming experience: the system collects data on how the player solves game tasks, and at each next stage of the game generates new tasks in such a way that they do not repeat. In practice, the race tracks are traversed by interactive obstacles and dynamic elements that the rider must avoid using secret paths.
• The game has a split screen function: the screen of a mobile device is divided into 4 sectors. Each sector displays the gameplay of one of the four players. Hardware requirement: 4 game controllers, joystick or gamepad.
• Racers compete in one of 8 matches. In the “test” mode, in order to open yourself access to races against the “ghosts”, the player needs to climb the career ladder on the global rating table of the game in the top 100 best players.
