Cosmic Showdown – space duels using an assortment of cards filled with special energy on distant planets between users’ spaceships in a one-on-one format. After a cursory acquaintance with the new product from the DoubleJump studio, the legendary Worms immediately come to mind, since the principle of gameplay, mechanics and controls are very similar. After the start of the round, the opponents indicate the location of their spaceship, and then, using the placement of special miniature satellites, they try to expand their sphere of influence as much as possible in order to allow offensive equipment to get close to the enemy as close as possible.

After placing the equipment on the Cosmic Showdown battlefield, the user needs to shoot at enemy targets, for which the “slingshot” mechanics are used, which every gamer has been familiar with since the times of the Worms mentioned above and the same Angry Birds. An important role in the strategy is played by energy, represented as a strip under the cards used by the gamer – you can put cards on the battlefield only if the scale is filled sufficiently.

It should also be taken into account that it takes some time to reload each weapon in Cosmic Showdown, it can be minimized by upgrading each unit of the combat arsenal. Laser systems, mortars, heavy machine guns, rockets, reliable shields – you can install a whole set of cards on the panel, not forgetting about timely updating and increasing their level. After each victory, the user gets access to chests, each of which contains three cards with upgrades, gold or new weapons.
