TrainStation – Game of Rail is a railroad simulation strategy game. The game reflects the entire history of the development of the railway – from a steam-powered train to an express train on a magnetic cushion.

The plot of the game. The playing field is a landscape on which cities and villages of people are located. The player’s task is to use railroads to connect the cities to each other – to build their own railroad empire.

According to the logic of the genre – strategy – the player starts the game from a zero position and from the ancestor of rail transportation – a steam locomotive.

Tactical steps:

• Attach railroad tracks between cities; take into account the features of the landscape and the number of people – potential passengers – in order to correctly calculate investments and income;
• Build railway stations and junctions;
• Organize railway services – transportation of passengers and goods;
• Earn money from services and accumulate capital in order to continue the expansion of railways into new territories;
• Develop technologies to move from steam locomotives to diesel locomotives, and then to electric locomotives, then to high-speed trains that move on a magnetic cushion or in a vacuum tube.

At each game stage, the player needs to perform tactical tasks. The player’s successes are marked on the strategic achievement scale. The highest achievements are the status of a railway magnate and the position of a leader on the global leaderboard of the game.
