LeafSnap is a mobile assistant in plant recognition from photographs, which will be useful for both ordinary people and professionals. The application simplifies the identification of representatives of the flora, eliminating the need for the user to browse specialized sites, study thematic literature and look for experts among friends who will help identify the plant and provide useful information on it.

The principle of operation of the program is based on comparing a photograph of a flower, bush, tree or mushroom taken with the camera of a mobile device with its base. The developers claim more than 95% accuracy in determining the object. By the way, the application works not only with pictures taken in real time – upload photos from the gallery of your smartphone or tablet. Search results at the request of the user are stored in the “My Collection” tab. It is also additionally proposed to use the home flower care calendar – watering schedule, top dressing, and so on.
