GlassWire – Data Usage Privacy – this utility monitors Internet activity in real time – Internet traffic consumption – of its user’s mobile device.

Why is this needed?

1. Mobile operators offer their customers such tariff plans that involve a limited amount of Internet traffic per month. Answer: to track the amount of Internet traffic used and fit into the limit set by the mobile operator.
2. Malicious or spyware uses Internet traffic in the background of the mobile device. Answer: to detect which programs installed on the mobile device use Internet traffic in the background of the mobile device – to block and remove such programs.

GlassWire – Data Usage Privacy – key features:

• The application counts and analyzes the amount of outgoing / incoming Internet traffic on a mobile device. The result of the analysis is displayed as a dynamic graph. The graph shows the current Internet traffic consumption of all applications installed on the mobile device in total, as well as the consumption of each application separately.
• The application also saves a daily, weekly or monthly history of user activity, and displays the history as a static graph.
• In the application settings, the user can set a limit on the consumption of Internet traffic both for all applications installed on the mobile device, and for each application separately.
• The application informs the user about the rest of the Internet traffic, or that the user has already exhausted the set limit.
• The graph displays the result of monitoring the consumption of Internet traffic with an interval of one minute – this is enough for the user to understand the dynamics of the consumption of Internet traffic.
• On a horizontally oriented screen of a mobile device, the graph of Internet traffic consumption covers a wider time interval than on a vertical one – this makes the history of his Internet activity more visual for the user.
