Tasker

Tasker is a tool to automate all the functions, services and actions of your smart device: from launching a music player at exactly 12 a.m. to the ability to create your own applications (for Android 2.3).

X are conditions, a certain context, against the background which the scripts you have written in advance begin to be implemented. Y are actions that begin to be performed when conditions X occur. The condition can be: time, date, place, state, application launch, event.

Tasker also creates user interface elements – widgets that run your script.

Getting Started – You, as a beginner, follow the instructions and use the trial and error method. The main task of all your manipulations is to automate frequently repeated actions, or actions that must be performed when certain conditions occur:

1. You set tasks (see the list of tasks);
2. When conditions occur (see contexts);
3. The sequence of actions is performed – scripts.

For example.

• Your calendar contains the birthdays of friends and relatives – Tasker will not forget to congratulate them all in time;
• 7 o’clock in the morning – an alarm clock ⏰ wakes you up, and your significant other receives a message that the sun has risen and it’s time for work or a date (the main thing is not to confuse the order);
• Are you coming to the theatre? – sound and light signals are turned off, the Internet is blocked, all unimportant incoming calls are blocked, except for a call from the Queen of Great Britain;
• You are returning home – WiFi is turned on and the status on the social network “I am at home”. For advanced users who have root rights and know how to use them, it is possible to create based on the settings Tasker own applications; applications can be shared with friends, or sold.
