Yr

Yr is a mobile weather widget, all the data for which is supplied by the meteorological center of Norway, so the accuracy of the information provided is close to the reference one. In addition, the application has a stylish and friendly interface, automatically determines the current location of the user (you will need to turn on the GPS module), the data is updated in real time, and their display is possible both in graphic and text format.

The Yr interface consists of three main pages, and the very first tab is the most aesthetically advanced – the sky is displayed in the background, which fully corresponds to the situation outside the window, for example, if it is raining, you will see the same on the screen of your Android device. Therefore, just looking at the first tab, you can understand what is currently happening on the street – the gentle sun is shining, it is snowing or raining. Additionally, this page displays the current temperature, direction, wind strength, and a couple of less significant information for the average user.

The next tab Yr is a standard infographic that provides data in a more dry and concise way for users who don’t care about animation effects. By the way, if necessary, you can see the forecast not only by the time of day (morning, afternoon or evening), but also turn on the weather display for every hour. The third page of the application is devoted to temperature graphs, the amount of precipitation and so on. In order not to launch the application every time, you can display a nice widget on your smartphone desktop.
