Gravity Galaxy (Gravity of the Galaxy) is a puzzle in the genre of a quest about the fundamental law of the Universe – universal gravitation.
The universe is infinite. Millions of light-years apart, the galaxies are scattered across the universe. Galaxies are made up of planetary systems, which in turn are made up of one or more stars that hold the planets in their gravitational orbit. This means that the force of gravity – the attraction of a star – for example, the Sun, attracts planets that revolve around the Sun and, thereby, tend to escape from the orbit of the Sun’s attraction. When a balance is established between the force of attraction of a conditional star, and the force of the planet’s aspiration from the star, then stable planetary systems are formed.
This complex law of celestial mechanics in the game is implemented in the form of a puzzle. The player’s task is to guide a spaceship from distant space home to planet Earth.
The complexity of the game lies in the fact that this cannot be done along the shortest path – a straight line. On the path of the spacecraft, there are planets whose gravitational force is so strong that for a spacecraft, if it falls into the field of gravity of such a planet, it means to be trapped. A trap means that the gravitational force of the Killer Planet is stronger than the force of the propellers of the spacecraft – the ship cannot escape from the orbit of gravity of such a planet.
Another problem that the player has to solve is that the spacecraft does not have enough fuel to fly safely to Earth. As the propulsion force of the ship, the pilot must use the force of attraction of small planets, from the orbits of which the spacecraft can escape. Thus, small planets perform the function of a space slingshot: on the one hand, the planet attracts the ship; this sells the ship inertia, due to which the ship escapes from the orbit of the planet’s attraction, but already on the other side of the orbit of its attraction. So, being attracted from one planet to another, the pilot must guide his ship through outer space. On his way, the pilot collects Stars – they will become a reward for the player.
