Monster Assault – the debut product from the Zedm Apps studio, on the locations of which the user will uncompromisingly fight against the army of mutants advancing in waves. All this is implemented extremely primitively, but the concept of the Tower Defense genre is fully observed – we activate the defense towers already located on the location and do not allow the monsters to reach the opposite side of the level. There is no plot, no backstory, but judging by the fact that the locations are a wooded area, we can conclude that events are developing on Earth, which was attacked by alien aggressors.
There are only thirteen levels in the Monster Assault strategy, but each next one is overgrown with new problems in the form of an increase in the number of enemies and their varieties – sometimes only lilac one-eyed monsters walk along the paths, then their ranks are replenished with two-headed pink brothers, then some ridiculous orange “slingshots” and so on. Enemies differ, by the way, not only externally, for example, for the physical destruction of some it will take only a couple of accurate hits, and for others at least five.
All towers available at the Monster Assault locations are initially inactive, their activation occurs at the expense of game currency, and the bank, in turn, is replenished by destroying enemies – this is such a vicious circle. In the course of the gameplay, the towers can be improved and repaired, because some aliens do not just follow in a slender step, they actively shoot back – nevertheless, the towers are not destroyed, but simply go into standby mode, from which they can be returned to service again for money. Three lives are given for each stage, in other words, if three monsters break through your defense line, you will lose.
