Futoshiki is a Japanese number puzzle that vaguely resembles Sudoku with modified rules. The user still has to place numbers on the playing field, making sure that they are not repeated in horizontal and vertical columns, and that additional conditions are met. The fact is that some cells contain inequality signs “more, less”, and taking this into account, you should correctly select the number in the cell to which the symbol refers.
The game offers six options for difficulty, which traditionally depends on the size of the field, the larger it is, the more options the user has to go through to complete the level. The numbers that should be placed in the cells of the field are located at the bottom of the screen – just select a square with your finger, and then place a symbol in it with one touch. If the wrong value is accidentally set, then simply select this square and fill in with another number. Remember, each puzzle has only one correct solution.
Features:
- minimalistic design and easy management;
- choice from simple to hardcore complexity;
- a game for the benefit of mental development;
- light and dark themes.
There are no hints in the Futoshiki puzzle, but the developers suggest using the special Solver program, a link to which can be found in the main menu of the application.
