Since the first release in the summer of 1984 of the puzzle Tetris, the author of which is considered to be programmer and game designer Alexey Pajitny, the incredible success of the game, at first glance based on primitive principles, has haunted many developers of entertainment products. Everyone tries to borrow some detail of the gameplay from the original Tetris, diluting it all with modern graphics and some original elements. So, in this colorfully designed Android puzzle, the authors of which did not skimp on a lot of special effects and decorative elements, the user still has to form solid lines on the playing field from geometric shapes of different colors. Moreover, unlike the “progenitor”, not only horizontal, but also vertical lines are subject to destruction; perhaps this is the main, but not the only difference from the original project. When there is no free space left on the field where a geometric element can fit in the future, the game ends, and the gamer is left to compare the number of points scored per round with the results of other gamers through the global rating.

Also, unlike a retro project, in our case the game elements do not fall from above, but are laid out by the user himself – at the bottom of the screen there are always three figures that the gamer can choose at his own discretion and move to the selected point of the playing area with a simple movement. As we have already said, there cannot be even the slightest quibble or question about the graphic design of Block Puzzle Jewel – everything is colorful and smoothly animated, and as audio accompaniment the authors decided to use not a background melody, but the singing of birds, which contributes to the formation of the right relaxing atmosphere. After all, the game was primarily created as a time killer, so records are the last thing you remember during gameplay.
