“Fifteen” is a variation on the “15” puzzle theme. The classic version of “Fifteen” was invented by Noah Chapman back in 1878. The game is a square recess in a plastic or wooden board – the playing field.
The playing field is a grid of conditional squares 4×4=16. In the recess on the playing field there are 15 movable square cubes, on which numerical values from 1 to 15 are applied. Since there are only 15 cubes, the 16th square on the playing field is empty.
The essence of the game is to move the cubes around the playing field in this way, using an empty square to arrange the cubes in ascending order of numerical values - from 1 to 15. You can only move one cube at a time.
The authors of this version of “15” applied the classic logic of the game, and created several new variations, the playing field of which consists of:
- 5×5 squares and 24 dice;
- 6×6 squares and 35 dice;
- 7×7 squares and 48 dice;
- Puzzles — place not numbers, but square fragments of the image.
The condition of the game is to fold “tags” in the least number of moves.
“Fifteen” – develop:
- Spatial thinking;
- Logical thinking (an algorithm for moving objects);
- Fine motor skills of hands.
