Drive Ahead! – The gladiatorial stadium, replete with barriers and monolithic fences, is surrounded on all sides by stands with jubilant fans demanding spectacles – there are no empty seats, and joyful fans are sitting in anticipation of an unprecedented action. True, the role of gladiators in the new product is assigned not to inflated fighters with swords and spears at the ready, but to trucks, sports cars and all-terrain vehicles. The main task of the gamer is to predict the actions of opponents, turn the car into a pile of metal and turn it over onto the roof, receiving a winning five points. But how do you successfully manage this set of goals?
Arcade racing game from Dodreams Ltd. functions in several game formats according to changeable rules, for example, you can transform the battlefield at will by adding new obstacles to the arena, or use the “Quick Death” mode with fatal threats – circular saws, swift traps and other “chips” that can instantly finish round. Unfortunately, this is where the user’s opportunities come to an end, since the vehicles themselves are not allowed to be upgraded – new cars are won at roulette in an impromptu prize machine.
So, Drive Ahead! is an arcade game with an unprecedented level of dynamics and entertainment. At the same time, it is interesting to look at the collisions of SUVs, garbage trucks and cars both in the first minutes of the game and after several hours of violent madness. The main arena, which is customizable in many ways, as well as outstanding mechanics, which does not allow the gamer to prepare in advance for the events unfolding on the screen, enhances interest in the new product. Adds pluses to the project and the availability of several modes at once, the most interesting of which, in our opinion, is multiplayer, with the ability to confront real players from all over the globe.
