What is MAME4droid?

De toepassing MAME4droid emuleert het benodigde besturingssysteem zodat pc-versies van arcadespellen kunnen worden geïnstalleerd op slimme apparaten met het Android-besturingssysteem. Ontworpen door David Waldeit.

De applicatie ondersteunt meer dan 8.000 videogames, die in hun originele versie grote operationele middelen vereisen, in tegenstelling tot het mobiele platform.
MAME4droid is ontworpen om pc-videogames te kunnen spelen op twee kernprocessors in mobiele apparaten.
Na installatie van de applicatie moeten alle gearchiveerde bestanden worden overgebracht naar de systeemmap van de map /sdcard/MAME4droid/roms van het spel.
De applicatie gebruikt alleen de 0.139u1 romset.
De applicatie ondersteunt zowel virtuele (touch) als perifere controllers. Tijdens het spel kun je wisselen tussen verschillende controllers. De keuze hangt alleen af van de voorkeuren of speelstijl van de speler zelf.
