Mi Fit – this application is designed to help the owner of the Mi Band fitness bracelet monitor their health using a smartphone.
How it works:
- The Mi Fit application is installed on a smartphone or tablet running Android OS.
- Via Bluetooth, the smartphone / tablet communicates with the Mi Band sports bracelet.
- The bracelet and smartphone synchronize their work: in real time, the bracelet transmits statistical data on the user’s physical activity to the smartphone – this is the number of steps taken per hour-day-week-month-year; the number of calories burned; sleep duration.
The smartphone transmits the settings of the latter to the bracelet – this is the strength of the signal, by which the bracelet informs the user that he has missed calls on the smartphone and received SMS, emails and messages on social networks – the Mi Fit application integrates into social networks, managers and mail clients of the user.
From a smartphone, the bracelet is also configured as an alarm clock: the Mi Band bracelet tracks the user’s sleep phases and wakes up its owner during superficial sleep.
The Mi Fit application also functions as a task manager. The application user Mi Fit sets goals for himself, sets them in the application, for example, walk a certain number of steps or burn so many calories. Mi Fit monitors how the user completes the tasks and informs him about the progress with the help of vobro and light signals, and infographics. The user can share his success with friends on social networks directly from the application Mi Fit.
Mi Fit also integrates with the WeChat messenger – this gives the user the opportunity to communicate with friends without switching to another application.
Note: Some Mi Band features are only available if the Mi Fit app is installed on a smart device running Android 5.0 or later.
