Monument Valley is a surreal puzzle adventure dreamed of by the heroine of this story, Princess Ida. The game has a simple plot that develops in unimaginable circumstances – optical illusions. Princess Ida has a dream that she walks through fantastic Palaces. In which the doors do not open as usual, the corridors are endless, and the stairs down lead up.
Palaces (there are several of them as locations) have unimaginable architecture. They defy the laws of physics and common sense. But this is Ida’s dream! The architecture of castles and palaces changes its geometry in the most unexpected ways and is in constant dynamics. And behind every corner in the Palaces, new alleys open up that lead into the unknown. Majestic statues are placed in the palaces. They silently watch Ida, as if waiting for something.
Your role is to unravel the mysterious world of Ida, where the sleeping princess walks. Every element of the architecture can be manipulated. This feature turns the Palaces into an elegant but phantasmagoric daydream, and the game’s story into an unpredictable adventure.
You need to guide the Princess through the Palaces in such a way as to introduce Her to each mysterious statue. Having walked with Ida through all the fantastic palaces, as if through a dream, at the end of your journey, Princess Ida should wake up.
Sinister crows will be waiting for you in the optical labyrinths of the Palaces – you need to beware of them. Optional purchases are available in the game – 8 new Forgotten Shores locations.

Each palace and each silent statue is a minimalistic three-dimensional construction, every detail of which is drawn by hand. These constructions contain elements of real-life objects in the world’s architectural monuments, which live their own lives in Ida’s dream, and will live, from now on, in your imagination.
The musical accompaniment of the game deserves a separate chapter. Your movements will echo in the Palaces that were sleeping peacefully until you woke them up.
