What is Wapa.TV?
Wapa.TV is the official mobile client of the popular independent television channel of the island nation of Puerto Rico. The channel specializes in broadcasting a variety of content – from local and global news to American entertainment shows and series translated into Spanish.
The application provides access to live broadcasts (only available in Puerto Rico) and archival materials for a selected period on topics of interest to the viewer. The application controls are located at the bottom of the screen – this is the “live” tab, access to any TV channel material, content organized by thematic categories, the program guide for the current day and settings.

Viewers can use the mobile client for free, but in addition to this, they receive commercials that automatically start after selecting the material for viewing. To play Wapa.TV content, a simple player is used that supports automatic selection of the quality of the broadcast image, a pause and a button to return to the video ten seconds ago – the choice is standard and quite sufficient for most viewers.
