What is Battle Tales?
Battle Tales (War of Tales) is an RPG game based on several fairy tales, the heroes of which fight among themselves for fame and fortune. The game is implemented in the fighting game genre. Adventures and rewards await their heroes in the new Land of Oz.
How is this game different from others? The game’s characters are girls, characters from real fairy tales. Girls wage war among themselves for fame and fortune beyond their fairy tales. For example, Cinderella, it turns out, is a thief. The Snow Queen loves hot battles. Little Red Riding Hood – instead of pies, she has arrows and a bow behind her back, and Sleeping Beauty weaves intrigues from the coffin. But no matter how fabulous the heroines were, once outside the usual scenario, the girls need help to cope with new tasks.
Gameplay. Together with the characters of fairy tales, the player explores new worlds. Having become accustomed to the conditions of the new fairy tale, the player, in the role of one of the fairy-tale heroines, chooses an opponent to fight with her in the Arena. The arena is a location with a limited space in which rivals fight one against the other for rewards. Rewards can be replaced with new types of weapons – thus, the Heroine of the game develops. The winner of the battle in the Arena receives everything that belonged to the loser – her weapons, armor and awards.
In addition to Arenas, Magic Fortresses serve as locations for feats. Monsters live in Fortresses. The heroines challenge the Monsters in order to take their titles and Fortresses in a fair fight.
Between battles, the girl organizes Parties: feats must alternate with dances. Although dancing is just another reason for the Heroines to compete among themselves for Gold as a reward.
Note: Each heroine is a member of the Guild. Individual wins give the Guild winning points, losses – minus points. Guilds fight among themselves for territories. The number of points of the Heroines determines the position of their Guild on the global rating table of the game.
The goals of the Heroines:
- to win all the Gold,
- to take away their weapons from the rivals,
- from the Monsters of their Fortress,
- to maximize the territory of their Guild.
