In terms of mechanics, the Decap Attack Classic project from the SEGA studio cannot boast of a wide variety, unfortunately – the register of gamer duties is rather restrained: basically, you can freely travel through locations consisting of several tiers, exploring their most remote corners and hidden areas. It is there that attentive users will be able to discover a lot of useful items and bonuses – only with their support you can go even further and discover a lot of secrets and mysteries.

Naturally, it was not without intense skirmishes with enemies, although you can choose a different tactic – almost any enemy (but there are exceptions) can be bypassed without entering into an open confrontation. Fights involve a variety of actions – landing on the heads of sluggish opponents, using a special “biting” head, or throwing enemies with objects picked up during the journey from a long distance. But in all cases, the damage dealt will be at about the same level – it will take a couple of three actions to eliminate the threat. Strange, but victories are not encouraged in any way – no achievements, no money, no things. Locations are cleared to simplify further strategic planning – after all, it is much easier when a potential threat does not loom on the horizon.

The advantage of the arcade action movie Decap Attack Classic is the accessible threshold of entry, and the disadvantages include too high complexity and a large set of rules and conditions for the global task. The length of the levels is frightening, and the enemies lie in wait at almost every turn, distracting from the main mission, the number of lives is limited, and death is permanent. In general, the evolution has benefited the project when compared with the original version of the end of the last century – first of all, this concerns the visual perception of the picture, as well as the control system, which is now implemented not through the usual joystick, but through taps and swipes.
