Monkey Ropes – insanely hardcore arcade game that tells us the story of the journey of two inseparable friends from the squad of primates through the wilds of the tropical jungle. The novelty is interesting for its mechanics, which the guys from PlaySide Studios have successfully exploited in several of their projects. The peculiarity of the main characters is that they are connected to each other by a long elastic rope, which simultaneously acts as insurance against falling into the abyss, but at the same time it incredibly interferes with correctly calculating the landing point of the leading monkey.
After tapping on the screen, one of the characters makes a jump, and after the finger is removed, he lands – you need to make sure that the hero not only hits the hard surface exactly, but also helps his brother. Reservoirs teeming with crocodiles jumping out of the water and snapping their sharp teeth, piranhas that can instantly gnaw to the bone the victim that is in the immediate vicinity, pythons with deadly hugs and poisonous snakes, static and moving platforms, porcupines with sharp needles that inflict incredibly painful injections – these and many other deadly dangers await brave heroes on their way.
During the journey Monkey Ropes it is desirable to collect gold coins that open access to new skins for characters (Yakut children, jaguars, sloths, tigers, wild boars, ants, hippos, lions, okapi, lemurs, gorillas, fish and many others), which, however, carry an exclusively aesthetic variety, without affecting the characteristics. In addition to the classic mode, the game provides for two types of tests (lava and a cave), but we strongly do not recommend going there until you get your hand in the standard version of the passage.
