What is Picross Gallery?
Picross Gallery (Nanogram) is a number puzzle. The essence of the game is to manipulate the numbers and thus decipher the world’s masterpieces of fine art hidden behind them – paintings.
Game process:
- The playing field is divided into a grid of cells: 5×5, 10×10, 15×15, 20×20.
- Above each vertical column of cells, and to the left of each horizontal row of cells are numbers. The numerical value of the numbers indicate how many cells in the vertical column and in the horizontal row are involved in the puzzle picture.
- Pictures have a degree of complexity. The difficulty of the puzzle can be chosen by the player.
- Game progress can be saved to continue solving the puzzle later.
- During the game, you can make reverse moves. This makes it possible to use the trial and error method.
- The game has a hint system.
- If necessary, you can zoom in and out of the image of individual pieces of the puzzle.
The game Picross Gallery develops two logical methods – inclusions and exclusions. These are universal methods of knowing the world.
