The minimum goal in the Ares Virus project is survival, and the global task involves finding a life-saving vaccine that will once and for all stop the spread of a deadly and extremely contagious virus across the planet. After the start of the game, the gamer is enrolled in a special forces unit, which the command instructed to find and deliver to the secret laboratory of the zero patient, only in this case you can get a chance to create a working vaccine.
But having landed with four partners at the destination, the hero eventually turns out to be the only survivor – with a severe wound, he is picked up and sent to the base by local residents. Actually, the story of Ares Virus begins with this, but how it ends is an open question, since a lot depends on the actions and decisions of the user.
