CELLAR

CELLAR is a role-playing adventure project that allows you to take a fresh look at the retro roguelike genre. For the most part, everything is standard – randomly generated levels, permanent death of the character, intuitive control of the on-screen arrows (by the way, they are made in the form of grave crosses), a gradual increase in complexity. But there are also innovations designed to modernize the popular genre.

Firstly, the developers decided to leave alone the theme of dungeon exploration in a medieval fantasy world. Instead, the main character will have to explore abandoned buildings, basements and cellars inhabited by homeless people, alcoholics, other marginalized individuals, and even the walking dead. Secondly, the main character and characters are presented not in the form of classical figures, but in the form of letter symbols – this looks original and unusual.

The goal of the gamer in CELLAR is to clear locations from aggressive inhabitants, for which the character uses the environment – selected bottles, knives, stones, and so on. In battles with enemies, the traveler loses some of his health, but healing mushrooms and drinks will help replenish a valuable resource. In addition, as a reward for completing locations, the user receives one life, which increases the chances of a successful outcome of an amazing role-playing adventure.
