What is Compass?
Compass is an application that, with the help of (accelerometer, 3-axis horoscope and magnetometer) integrated into your phone, will help you use your Android device as a compass.
Where and when can a compass come in handy? For example, in an unfamiliar area – it can be a city, a forest or a large open space – during outdoor activities, or in the event of natural disasters.
Compass – how does it work?
- Download, install and activate the application, Compass automatically and in real time takes readings from the phone’s sensors, and interprets the data in such a way as to establish your direction relative to Earth’s magnetic poles.
- The application interface is an informative and interactive tool that helps you visually know your own position relative to the Earth’s magnetic poles with an accuracy of one degree.
- For the application to work correctly, rotate the phone around its axis, and then in the form of a figure eight – this must be done to calibrate the compass.
