Village City: Sim Island Life is a city-building business strategy game in which the player builds the city of their dreams.

At the beginning of the game, the player receives a free section of the playing space – an archipelago consisting of one large and how many small islands. On a large island, the player builds a city. Construction is carried out using blocks – these are ready-made houses, parks, city infrastructure facilities, commercial enterprises, entertainment centers and educational institutions. The blocks are stacked according to the puzzle principle: one block to another – together they form an integral picture of the city.

The strategic goal of the city planner is to build a city in which citizens live comfortably and in abundance. Speaking of wealth, the complexity of the strategy lies in making such tactical decisions that would maintain a balance between the income and expenses of the city planner. Revenues are taxes that go to the city treasury from entrepreneurs. And expenses are the funds spent on the construction of the city.

The goal of the player is to build a city that attracts new residents; give new citizens education, work and entertainment. New residents of the city, through their activities, bring income to the city in the form of taxes. Citizens’ incomes are spent on the expansion of the city – the living space of citizens. And so on ad infinitum – top positions on the global rating table of players.

During the game, the player is waiting for a surprise – chests with pirate treasures. Due to the fact that the player attracts new residents to the city, and new players to the game, he receives prizes, gold and money.

If the player is in trouble, he can turn to the City Councilor, whose direct and only function is to help the player build the city.
