Tower Defense Zone 2 is a sequel to the strategy game of the same name in the genre of tower defense against an alien invasion.
Plot. The Earth was attacked by aggressive aliens – these are cruel monsters who, having suffered a crushing defeat at the first attempt, returned in order to take revenge.
Multiplayer game. The task of players from all over the world is to build as many towers as possible, individually or as part of a team, that can effectively prevent monsters from moving around the game world. In order to navigate the game world, players can turn to the in-game encyclopedia for help, in which the features of the towers are described – their physical parameters, strengths and weaknesses. The armada of the invaders is divided into units, which, depending on the number and weapons, also have features, for example, the more soldiers, the weaker they are alone; the higher the maneuverability of tanks, the lower their level of durability.
The strategic task of the players is to build a system of towers and develop each of them in such a way that the towers prevent the monsters from moving around the game world. For greater efficiency, the players are united in teams – this allows them to coordinate tactical maneuvers with each other.
The gameplay is divided into difficulty levels. The events of each level unfold on a separate map. In order to go to the next level, on the previous level, players need to destroy so much enemy manpower to get 3 stars as a reward.
Each tower has 20 units – soldiers, which the player must equip depending on the goal: 1) destroy as many monsters as possible, 2) protect the territory, 3) prevent the Bosses from entering the tower.
The game is free. But if the player doesn’t have the patience or skills to develop turrets and weaponry, they can buy both weapons and advance to the service level.
Features of the game:
- Sound and musical accompaniment of the game encourages players to be proactive.
- The screen orientation is horizontal.
- Game speed has two settings: 1) normal and 2) twice as fast.
